Okay, Full House has LOTS of incongruities...it's not well written or well acted, let's be honest. But one of these has always stuck in my head more than any of them.
It has long been established that Danny and Joey have been friends for a long time. College roommates and all of that. But the show consistently does flashback moments where they're all, like, 10 year old children with the SAME one-dimensional personalities they have in the present. The show leads us to believe that the three of them grew up together, despite the fact that Jesse is supposed to be several years YOUNGER than Danny and Joey.
Plus, he wouldn't have met them until Danny and his hot wife Pam got together anyway. What is happening?
As a side note, how do the girls even have blonde hair? Danny's brunette, and if Jesse and the girls' mother are of Greek descent (they really push that plot point a lot), I'm willing to bet that old Pam was getting some from a hot blonde on the side.
I "love" this show and I LOVE this blog.

what a great idea for a thread! ive touched on the hair color problem at least once. i think my favorite incongruity is the constant introduction of love interests who are never seen or heard from again. in joey's case, it seems fairly plausible that he'd never hear from a woman again after 1 or 2 dates, but i always wonder whether the writers ever planned on bringing these women back again. that kid rusty and his mom, who dated danny, appeared in several episodes in the 4th season and then totally disappeared. my favorite one of all was that woman who appeared in the first season that jessie tried to bang who was clearly a prototype for rebecca donaldson. it didnt quite work out so they quickly discarded her and then tried again the next season.

Yeah!
And how about Jesse's education? First that guy gets invited to a high school reunion, and then we later find out that he never graduated, and they make this huge plot point about his inadequacy issues leading him to get his G.E.D.
So....what's the deal there?
FOR THAT MATTER, what's up with the face that every time they do a flash back, the three dads seem to know each other from childhood? Joey and Danny were supposed to have met in college, whereas Jesse is several years younger than them and also would not have entered the picture (like I said above) until Danny and Pam started dating.
OH MY GOD.

How about the stairs in the house? There are two sets of stairs that impossibly line up the second story. And the house they always show from the outside is wayyyyyy smaller than the house on the inside

There are just too many to list and if I get started my head will probably explode. The layout and size of the house is completely implausible, particularly the attic where Rebecca Donaldson and Uncle Jesse set up shop. I mean, that attic by the end of the series went from a one room open concept thing to a two bedroom home. Why the hell did Danny not fix that thing up and stick Joey and Uncle Jesse up there to begin with??? OR, he could have spent his seemingly endless supply of money on a proper Nanny, moved her up into the attic "suite" and then he could have slept better knowing that someone appropriate and trained was taking care of his offspring. I know people who live with their families in smaller homes than that friggin attic. The full house is not only evil, it apparently grows like a chia pet when you feed it people.

I'm going to go with the financial aspect of the show.
San Francisco's cost of living is the third highest in the nation, yet only two of the people living in the Full House have jobs.
Currently, the full house inmates consist of the Tanners (4), the dog (.75), Joey (.5) and Jesse and Rebecca (2). Plus a never-ending stream of extras who eat their food, like the Rippers and Chachi. The house is equipped with electricity, and the adults all appear to have their own cars. Take in to account repairs, remodeling the basement, and repairing the kitchen from when Stephanie drove through it, and it becomes a little hard to believe. This is a little sad, when you think how hard the writers worked to make this show gritty and cutting-edge.

Dont forget when the cement truck broke the same window in season 7

Yes! And not only broke the window but dumped cement all over the place. How lazy are these writers? "We need another vehicle to bust through this window. But that's not enough. Let's fill the kitchen with cement!" AND THEN!!! Danny apologizes to DJ (who did the damage) for "forcing" her to sit in the cement truck for privacy. Really? That was their only option? How about going for a damn walk. Sorry, that episode always bugged me.

So....what's the deal there?
I didn't graduate- I got my GED at the end of my senior year, but I still technically dropped out. I went to my 10-year reunion this past November, and nobody said boo. I guess since I was willing to pay to go, nobody gave a damn?
FOR THAT MATTER, what's up with the face that every time they do a flash back, the three dads seem to know each other from childhood? Joey and Danny were supposed to have met in college, whereas Jesse is several years younger than them and also would not have entered the picture (like I said above) until Danny and Pam started dating.
This one is also not entirely outside the realm of possibility; do they ever explain how Danny and Pam met? Perhaps they met because Danny was friends with Jesse? My sister-in-law (my husband's sister) and her husband met because my husband and her husband were best friends as teenagers.

They never explain how Danny and Pam met, but we are led to believe that Jesse is 5 or 6 years younger than Danny, because when Danny turns 30, Jesse is 25 or 26. So there's no way those two, at least, were in the same grade in elementary school (as we are led to believe in the episode with the best-friends time capsule).
I'll concede my point about the high school reunion - maybe they invited him anyway.

The boy who plays Jesse in that flash back episode is shorter than Danny and Joey so I just kept trying to tell myself that he was 5 or 6 while Danny and Joey were 10 or 11. It never said they were in the same grade. They just had the same recess.
As for the "One Last Kiss" episode, during that flashback scene when he brings his motorcycle into the gym he says, "We graduate tomorrow. What are they going to do? Suspend me?" It's pretty obvious he never dropped out. Maybe he just didn't have enough credits to graduate. I don't know. It always bothered me that later in the series he was trying to earn a GED. Don't the writers even watch the shows?

The one that always stuck out to me was Danny's cleanliness. There's that episode in the first season with the grandmas where it's shown that the guys live like complete slobs. And we all know how that turns out.
I get that they must have originally planned to show these guys engaging in typical bachelor hijinks before realizing that Danny needed another characteristic to fill the quota of 4, but it's such a glaring incongruity because his cleanliness defines him for the next 7 seasons.

One that's bothered me is that they never moved so the kids must go to the same elementary school, but when Stephanie was in kindergarten it was an outdoor type school with a playground and when Michelle started Kindergarten they have an indoor type school now.
