I've been reading through Full House Reviewed a lot lately, and I have to agree that it's a pretty bad show in its own right, mainly due to its bad dialogue, not-so-well executed plots, and its downright obnoxious characters. However, there are some characters on the show that I can tolerate throughout this trash (not counting guest stars who appear as their characters from other shows, like Jaleel White as Steve Urkel, or as themselves, like Frankie Avalon and Annette Funicello). I'd be happy to list some of them:
Kimmy Gibbler: I mostly get my likeness for this character from FHR's creator, Billy Superstar. Of course, I've rewatched several episodes of Full House with her and I have to agree with Billy. She does have some charisma about her and she seems quite multicultural. You might say she's like a female Steve Urkel.
Papouli: One of Jesse's Greek grandparents who appeared in only two episodes of the series. Yes, he does appear to be a stereotypical Greek, but to me, the way he executes it is rather likable, like when he goes "You Greek, you dance!" in his second and final appearance. And I know it sounds crazy, but I was actually devastated when he died. (It doesn't even help that Jack Kruschen, the actor who played him, died many years later.) Now I have a lot of respect for Billy Superstar, but my one hope for him now is that he does not badmouth the death of Papouli when he gets around to reviewing the last dance.
Comet: Yep, the dog. When I was reading the comments about the Nostalgia Critic's review on Full House on Youtube, I found one comment stating that the dog was the best actor. Because of that, I've started to gain newfound appreciation for the dog Comet. I guess I like Comet because I think it's fun to imagine what he's thinking, like if he's actually enjoying being the obnoxious family's housepet. Honestly, I think maybe should have run away from the Tanners.
So any comments?
