I was dinking around on Wikipedia during school the other day and ended up at Full House.
We all know (and hate) the show for being crackertastic as hell, making the ongoing syndication of it all over the world even weirder. This is a list of all of the places it has been broadcasted outside the US, with some of their names and airdates.
So is it fun to just laugh at those obnoxious Americans? Do people actually like this stuff? I hope there are some global posters out there that can put some input in this.
In Japan, Full House was broadcasted on the nation's most widely-watched network (the NHK) and it seems they really genuinely love that stupid orangutan spawn over there. I guess they love their bulgy-eyed anime girls, too, with similarily simian looks, so maybe it makes sense....
Here's some art done by Japanese people that are in love with Full House. What do you think?
(I'm going to out myself as a terrible Japanese language nerd with this, but the sound effect on the one with Danny's vacuum (ズゴゴゴ) is a pun, because the definition of the phrase itself is "menace by loud drastic things happening" and the standard sound effect for a vaccum's sucking noise - basically, Danny being a psycho hoe.)
