I'm actually surprised that I've received so few hateful letters while writing FHR, but I got a really incredible one today so I thought I'd create this thread.

here's the first epic hate letter i got, now a classic, from may 2011.
Uhh…I really hope you’re being sarcastic. You know it’s “cross I bear” not “cross-eyed-bear,” don’t you?
Also, do you really have nothing better to do with your time than to keep a blog purely for the purpose of bashing a TV show that’s been off the air for sixteen years? I mean, it would be one thing if this show was still making episodes or if anyone really cared to read your shallow opinion, (cause let’s just be honest, that’s all this is..), but don’t you think it’s a little odd for you to be airing all of this just now? I mean, heaven forbid anyone catch a rerun of this “horrible” show! It’s not taking up a primetime spot and it’s not like you even have to see any commercials for it, so what’s the deal? Seriously, why aren’t you spending your time actually contributing something to society in a positive way?
Oh, and one more thing…if you really see fit to continue this silly little project, at least do some research. Even a little bit would be much better than the obvious ZERO you’ve put in thus far… If you’d done any research whatsoever, or perhaps even just went as far as to turn off the reruns and get off the couch, you’d be aware of the fact that almost all of the Full House cast members went on to accomplish many more things after the show ended. As a matter of fact, your Kimmy Gibbler (aka: Andrea Barber, whom I’m also a fan of so I say this with no disrespect), probably was the one who has stayed out of the spotlight the most. That’s not to say she’s been unsuccessful–she’s a stay at home mom to a beautiful family, and I’m sure very proud of her accomplishments, as she should be. But you should also know that Candace Cameron-Bure (in case you’re not quite up to date, as I suspect you aren’t, “Bure” comes from NHL star, Valeri Bure, her husband of 15 years), has definitely kept busy herself. She’s a very successful motivational Christian speaker, a New York Times best selling author, she’s remained in the public eye doing several movies and TV guest spots, and is currently one of the stars of ABC Family’s highly-successful “Make It Or Break It.” Not to mention her three beautiful children that undoubtedly keep her busy. So yeah, I suppose if that’s your definition of unsuccessful, your statement would be accurate.
Dave Coulier has continued with his successful stand-up comedy. Bob Saget has had a few (albeit short-lived) sitcom and game-show hosting stints. Mary-Kate and Ashley are enormously successful business moguls, running several high-end clothing companies out of NY and LA. That might not seem impressive to you, but I’m pretty sure their billions of dollars speak otherwise…
Heck, even Steve became Aladdin and Comet hit it big with a little thing called “Air Bud.”
Here’s a new plan for ya: turn off the TV and go get a job….or pick up a book? Maybe go to school. Do something worth something with your life…
i wrote a big long rebuttal to it that's posted on the blog.

today i got this letter at my billysuperstar@gmail.com address. what an epic hate mail! im honored!
Hello,
I would like to comment on your site. I will do so in private because I do not wish to do this in front of your audience. This should not be considered a bash, though it can be seen that way. For the sake of putting a nametag, I will assume you are male. Keep in mind this is the perspective of an individual, with a rather clearcut opinion, not uncommon to you I'm sure. Your site has a certain tone, but what bleeds through is something else entirely.
What surprises me is your reaction to the fact that people write you and tell you that you should get a job. I mean seriously. Just take a step back and look at your site. You not having a job is the first thing that would come to a reader's mind. You seem offended that people think you don't while they don't even know you. But that is just it. All they see from you is what you put on your site. And that alone speaks volumes about your person, accurate or not. Whether what they perceive is your person is reality or not. What is fact for them is that which you give them.
Firstly it's the hate. People are inclined to assume the logical things. You are much too obsessed with hate to have a job that you actually love. To have a family that you actually love. To have a life that you actually love. Because people who are truly happy don't waste their enery on hating because they are too busy enjoying. And when the next thing you will tell is me that your enjoyment lies in the fact that you love to hate, I rest my case. If hate is your enjoyment, you must be a 'sad loser'. One and one is two. And that is what many people see when they see your site.
But there is more that they see. They see someone who prides himself in his work ethic to put together some blog. But he doesn't care about accuracy, nor does he seem to care about using proper English. Though if you do care, then for a blogger you should be ashamed of your English skills, or lack thereof. Is it even your first language? I would at least have the excuse that it is my second language, but if even I find horrible grammar and spelling mistakes on a "blog" created by a "blogger"... Actually don't call yourself a blogger if you can't write proper English. In addition, throwing around the high school populars like 'shit'and 'fuck' seems something you do care about... a bit too much perhaps.
Another thing is your explicit hatred for the 'Joey' character. It points many people in the direction that you have no life experience whatsoever. If 'Joey' is among the worst type of people you've ever witnessed, you must have been living under a rock. If 'Joey' makes you mad, I do not want to see what happens to you when you encounter a member of the KKK, or the people responsible for the 9/11 attacks. Logic would dicate that you would forget all about 'Joey' if some random nutjob were to brutally attack someone in your life that you love dearly. Do not underestimate the internet. People who have had these things happen to them or their loved ones, stumble onto your site just the same and may read a few lines going in thinking the site is everything it's not, and end up shaking their heads thinking you're a damaged 13 year old child that is in dire need of child protection.
Anyway, after work hours instead of doing something fun with your girlfriend/boyfriend or what have you, you decide to spend your time getting your hatred on and feeling the love from your fellow haters on your site. Or at least that is what I gather after skimming over a few sections.
See, it wasn't such a sad sight if the thing you were hating on was not a family TV show from the 80's that in its prime sold more than you'll ever make in your life. If you were hating on OJ, or Tiger Woods, or you know, those celebrities that beat their girls half to death, then I would understand.
But I mean, what are you wasting your enery on? This show moved so many people, nobody cares about any errors in it unless they are 'internet' h8rz with nothing better to do, is what most people reckon. Figuratively speaking of course. Hence people think you have no job. You see, as a kid you don't really notice inaccuracies and things that make no sense. It's a family show where people watch it with their kids like they watch cartoons with their kids. Kids don't pay attention to details, but instead they take in the vibe of the environment. That's why as a parent, you don't have to be perfect either, as long as you create the right environment for your child to grow up in.
Though because of your site I can't see a person like you raise any children, and if it were to ever happen, I feel sorry for the children. See I don't know you, I just comment on what I see. Much like you don't know Full House, you just comment on what you see. In a way, you are to me what Full House is to you, except what I'm doing here may perhaps make a difference at one point in time, whereas what you do... let's put it like this. It would be very sad if your proverbial kids would stand at your coffin by the end of this year and say "the greatest thing my pa ever did for me was make a 'spread the hate' site about Full House".
The big question I have is, why do you not channel your hate and your work ethic into something meaningful? You seem to be outspoken enough about the government, the passing of laws and how certain things are not right to you in that area. Why do you not go into politics and use your hating skills there? Why not take that brain of yours and put it to good use?
I mean, you were brought into this world for a reason, right? Unless you want to be "working from home" your entire life. Man, between doing that and putting sites together, do you really have time to leave the house at all? No, I see you venturing off into the world and doing something meaningful. See all those people that currently sit on your site getting their hating fix? Looking for a few laughs cause those are all the smiles they ever get? They will eventually all grow up and do something they love, like starting a family, loving someone special, stuff like that. I don't see those people come to your funeral if you get run over by a bus tomorrow at least. "He was such a great Full House hater..." That's the thing you know, life is short, it could be over before you know it. You might not even make it into Season 8 because you could die next week. Of course if you die next week, chasing a political career is off the table too. That is why we say that living life to its fullest potential is something we should do as much as possible while we still can.
The excuse you put in the FAQ about you actually having a job is the icing on the cake in terms of how sad this whole thing really is. You've not found your calling, that much is clear. Your job is not satisfactory to you, since you have time and energy left to hate on Full House. Again, you should really consider quitting your job, head into politics and find out what work ethic is really about. You have all the qualities down, you know how to gather a following, you know how to point out flaws in other people's campaigns, you are a fairly decent writer, minus the bad English and the swear words, but most of all, your efforts don't get lost in a big black hole like they are now. Nobody significant is going to find your Full House site and think you have potential. But you can make yourself significant by focussing on things that matter.
If you do it right, you may actually make a difference in this world. Now don't say you don't have the capacity or whatever. Those are the words of a loser with no job. Trying something meaningful and failing is still better than succeeding at something meaningless.
In any case, I feel I'm rambling a lot but perhaps this may shed some light onto why people comment that you should get a job, or loosely translated, why they think you are a loser with no job. If you feel offended by them because they are wrong, or if you feel offended by the things I write down about you/towards you, then that simply means that you care about the things being pointed out.
That's the thing about me not knowing who you are. I don't care, at all. Ultimately you're the only one who cares about you and your life and how you want it to be. If you are not 100% content with what people think of you based on the work you produce, then you might want to ask yourself if what you do is really what you should be doing, or were meant to be doing.
People generally consider finding a new hobby when what they produce isn't good enough to give an accurate image of who they are and what they're all about.
Plus, being admired by haters is... sad. I call that negative positivity. They cancel each other out and then you have nothing.
What is slightly intriguing is your observation that fans of Full House enter your site and end up loving it. As if it were a rehab process for them. No, a child simply processes experiences differently than adults do. Their eyes are not suddenly opened, they are merely confronted with the ever so present difference in observation when it comes to seeing with eyes from different moments in time. When I watch back an episode of Full House, I feel that nostalgia and I ignore the errors because I don't care about the errors. I would need someone to point them out to me to even give a damn. And maybe smile two times and say "hey he's right". When people who blurt out comments like "best site on the internet" in wonderful caps, don't you begin to wonder how fast the bullshit meter hits the red on your site if you don't remove junk like that from your pages?
Speaking of errors, the main page you're pulling a below 'Full House' caliber joke yourself. Conjuring up a picture of a 2012 version of Olsen to create a scare. Not only is the time of your joke incorrect, but the fact behind the picture is that the 2012 version of Olsen owns a multi-million dollar company, is an established name in the fashion world, is on the list of 20 richest women in the world and has defeated the illness known as anorexia. That my man, is REAL work ethic. Your joke makes no sense. Something tells me having you as a writer for the Full House show wouldn't have made it any better... most likely even worse.
Face it. The show went over with the world. The reruns went over with the world. Networks are still making money off of reruns all over the world. People don't care. You're beating a dead horse.
And so I would say go find a new hobby. Go into politics... or join the army. You have the desire to put boots to asses. Now all you need to do is actually get out there and do it.
But do I care about that? No. Do you care? You should. If you have any self respect that is.
---
Should you feel the need to reply me, go right ahead. But don't send it to me, send it to yourself. Read it as a reply to a review that you would want to receive as if you wrote this yourself. If you feel content with your reply and don't feel the need to reply yourself anymore, you'll have accomplished what you wanted to accomplish. In any other case you'd be beating around the bush.
If that makes sense to you, good. If it doesn't... well, in an attempt to discover the meaning you can always make a site about it.
Sincerely,
Someone with an impression of your site and loves to write also.

I feel like Obi-Wan Kenobi would have something to say about this.
"Who is the bigger time waster? The one who writes a silly blog, or the one who writes huge letters complaining about him?"
I still think the first one is Cameron.

Whoa.
I won't point out all of the blatant hypocrisies, especially in regards to having hatred and spelling and grammar, because everyone can see them. But I will say this:
A) Dave Coulier totally wrote this. B) The best sentence: "And maybe smile two times and say "hey he's right"."

I agree with the last person. My first thought was that Dave Coulier wrote that. That letter moves well past the obsessive level and straight into stalker territory. BTW...love the blog. I think it channels my negative positivity or something...keep up the good work!

We start to sound kind of silly if we attribute every piece of hate mail to one of the show's cast.
Then again, I couldn't drag myself through the endless masturbation of that second letter. So I don't know if there's something obvious which I didn't have the constitution to reach.

I am not too worried about sounding silly on a Full House message board.

Re: Obi-Wan: Woah there.
Like, I know, who am I to hate on some hate mail, as someone reading through the archives of a now-defunct television review message board but dude, I really take umbrage at his comments about Full House "just being a kids show" etc. That expression only EXISTS because of pervasive low quality programs like Full House. Inherently, children's programming does not have to be shitty! Sure, complex nonlinear storytelling using disassociative editing might be a bit much, but if kids watch (and content is produced for them that has) character development or even just BASIC CONTINUITY, they can gain media literacy at a much younger age. The idea that a model example of "family television" is Full House, and that this show and others similarly produced 1. is enjoyable (as commentors on this site have agreed, it seems to be a show we universally watched, but nary remember actually gleaning any pleasure) and 2. is/should be obligated only to be "enjoyable" (rather than attempt to be enriching in any way) is not only OFFENSIVE but downright CONDESCENDING to the entire youth television demographic. Just because inexplicably Full House became a hit due to its palatable blandness does not mean kids like or benefit from watching such garbage! TV is a wonderful, powerful medium if we use it well, and FHR is very commendable for calling bullshit on an era of abominable children's programming that at the time our parents/culture negligently let slide.
